The Preserve

On a typical hunt, we normally see upwards of 200 pheasants in a single day. An unheard of amount, cosidering the meager hunts of my youth where my hunting buddy Steve and myself might have seen a handful of birds in an entire seasion. We are obviously living in the good old days of upland bird hunting thanks in part to the extensive conservation efforts such as the CRP (conservation reserve program) and non profit groups like Pheasants Forever. Local NRCS representative Scott Davidson has made himself available to design and assist in implementing a wide variety of projects that promote habitat diversity and wildlife production.
